Nancy, a Nurse and after suffering through two C. difficile infections herself and witnessing the loss of her father whose life was claimed by C. difficile involvement, the C Diff Foundation came to fruition in 2012. The C Diff Foundation Members, with their Volunteer Health Advocates, successfully “Raise C. diff. Awareness” nationwide and have touched lives in fifty-six countries.

(1-844-FOR-CDIF) to support health care providers, patients, families, and caregivers to manage through all of the difficulties associated with a C. diff. infection. There are a variety of patient/family, and healthcare provider programs available to provide additional information and support.

Scott Battles, Vice-President of the C Diff Foundation . Scott is also a professional Wind Technician Instructor and Safety Program Coordinator Scott Battles has an extensive background in Wind energy and electronics and has had the opportunity to work with GE Energy and their renewable energy products with the BNSF Railway earning certifications in wind rigging, hydraulics safety, and in electrical communication equipment. Scott is a C. diff. survivor through a close family friend, who battled a long and debilitating C. diff. infection. It is through his first-hand knowledge and witnessing how a C. diff. infection impacts one's life that instilled the passion to promote awareness of this nosocomial, and community acquired life-threatening infection
Angelo Ortiz shares his thirty years experience in business and health care to provide extensive knowledge of infection prevention, patient safety, with support in the patient - family - caregiver community. Angelo is no stranger to C. difficile infections. He joins the team in sharing health and wellness topics with residents, and healthcare professionals in the communities who are eager to learn more about infection prevention and ways that will be beneficial to living a healthier life.
Tony Del Monaco is innovative and wears many hats as a Board Member of the C Diff Foundation. Tony is an owner of Bear Cranes, Inc. located in Maine. He is a graduate of University of Maine and earned a Bachelor degree with a major in Business Management. Tony has a solid foundation in office operations, accounting applications, estimates for projects, and forecasting project budgets. His healthcare background includes Medical Radiography, and EKG Technician.
A C. difficile infection needed no introduction to Tony, for his experience in healthcare provided the knowledge of how life-threatening it can be.
